Pat Gillin has sketched Joseph Hazelwood, the Captain of the Exxon Valdez. The Exxon Valdez was a supertanker that crashed in 1989 and dumped 11 million gallons of crude oil into Alaska’s Prince William Sound. This image comes from the civil trial where Hazelwood is on the witness stand trying to explain his intoxication at the time of the incident.
